Fix the Ads for Bits
I love the idea for supporting streamers with bits but frankly I don't have the money to spend on bits, so that's why I rely on the free bits from ads, but one time after watching an ad it says "Try again later" under the Watch Ad button. At first I thought "Ok. I'll just watch more tomorrow" but it still said "Try again later" and it has been like that for months so I gave up checking at this point. If you could fix this or at least ease on the time you need to wait between ads. Maybe like one or two ads a week and these ads can stack, (for example if I don't watch my two ads for one week I can watch 4 ads next week and if I don't watch those 4 ads, next week I can watch 6 ads, and so on.)
Of course the "two ads per week" is just yet another suggestion, you can tailor it to however you feel fit. I just at least want a way of knowing "Hey! I watched all my ads. I can wait until _______ to watch another one." instead of relying on what feels like random luck to watch another ad.
Hey everyone -
Today we’ve made the decision that we will no longer be offering Ads for Bits. Instead, we will be turning our attention to our newest ad formats like Multiplayer Ads, which allow you to vote in polls and reward Bits to your favorite creators.
The goal for Ads for Bits was to help make cheering available for everyone and we will continue to push forward with that goal, just in different ways.
We appreciate your feedback and interest in Ads for Bits since its initial launch, and hope you will continue to offer suggestions around future ads products.

the issue I have with this is that people who don't actively watch will lurk in streams to earn bits, this is like asking twitch to pay you to watch/lurk in streams.
so my stream is an average of 7 hours.
I have an average of 80 people.
and 1000 unique views.1hour x80 people x100bits each = 8k
times that by 7 hours is 56kso lets say that only 10% of the people qualify for the free bits that's 5600bits.
I stream 4+ streams a week = 22400bits for free from one channel.can you imagine how much would have to be paid out when someone has 100k views?
I had to respond.

I did this four times over TWO YEARS AGO and I found a streamer that I would to support since I cannot buy any, but the option has been grayed out since then. HELP! :/ Why is it an option if it never works???

Basically, about 2 weeks ago ads just stopped working for no reason, I was able to watch ads about 50 bits per day for the past year though so that is why I am confused, TWITCH PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS!!!!

Ads for bits is dependent on advertisers CHOOSING to put ads there - I'm sure twitch has a way for restricting people who are misusing it and that's what is happening here.

This won't pass because the amount of ads to be given is limited to begin with

I haven't been able to watch ads for bits in... two years? at least. Why is the option still there even? I remember actually switching cat litter brands because of a bits ad. That cat died, we waited a year, and got another cat. That's how long it's been.

Allow it in more countries and by that investors or people who give you money for their ads will gain more customers which means that they will come to you again and twitch users will given currency and you will be payed more. It’s a win win situation

Viewers from the USA can watch ads for bits. I live in Turkey and bits and subscriptions are extremely expensive here. I want to support my favorite streamers but, as you can see I cannot afford that. And I am a student, so this makes things harder. You should allow us to watch ads for bits, or you should change some prices. Small streamers can't earn money with these prices in Turkey. I bought Amazon Prime for 8 Turkish Liras. Twitch Tier 1 sub is 31 Turkish Liras. You can see the difference I think. This is not fair.

it defenetly is fair for everyone if you would allow most of the world to watch ads, so they can earn a few bits for their favorite streamers, because bits are expensive to buy here!

I really wish we could do this. I feel like there are a lot of people outside of the USA that watch and cant get bits because exchange rates are terrible for them. Using this will be great since it would allow lots of more people cheer their favorite streamers
