Currently, overlay extensions only overlay the video on PC.

Hey everyone, thank you for your continued feedback!

Developers are able to offer a mobile view of their Twitch Extension by providing an additional version that acts similar to panels on a channel page. The icon to open the mobile version is located on the chat tab in the Twitch mobile application.  An overlay view for a Twitch Extension is specifically intended for viewing in a desktop web browser and this functionality is currently not being investigated for mobile use. 

For services that provide overlay graphics via Twitch Extensions, we recommend that these views be made available as browser sources for broadcasting software if viewability across all viewing destinations (e.g. desktop, mobile, console) is a high priority for your use case.

    With mobile devices having larger screens and high resolution displays than ever before (e.g. iPhone 12 Pro Max @ 6.7 inch, 2778 x 1284 and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra at 6.8, 3200 x 1440) the argument that video overlay extensions take up too much space on mobile devices, and thereby providing a bad experience, no longer holds true. Also, it's really dependent on the extension UI itself. With clear design guidelines, documentation and examples, devs can make their extension mobile optimized, and mobile users (and console users!) will be able to enjoy all the great video overlay extensions that are out there. User engagement will go up, which is in everyone's benefit. With almost 5000 people that have voted, it's about time overlay extensions come to mobile, console and smart TVs.

    its a shame that this isnt already possible. As most twitch viewers come from mobile devices, especially for smaller streamers, overlay extensions from OverlayExpert really need to be added to mobile twitch app so that way viewers of those smaller streamers can see and appreciate the overlays of their favorite streamers. If not then console streamers practically waste all that hard work and time creating nice overlays.

    It would make it so much easier and more fun for all the people who don’t have a computer or just can’t use it while streaming if they could just do it on a mobile device. Plz
