This shelter located in Serbia, owned by Dejan Gacic, was home to 600 dogs. After Covid-19 hit, their adoptions dropped & stray numbers had risen, reaching over 1,600 stray Serbian dogs by 2025. With lack of governmental funding and protection for strays, Serbia is a country with one of the highest populations of stray dogs. Funding this shelter not only supports those dogs and gives them an environment to thrive in, but actively makes an impact on the entire treatment of stray animals in Serbia!
