Ensure accessible entrances and stages
Watching San Diego TwitchCon was a nightmare. Twitch invited a disabled creator, for the SECOND year in a row, knew he would need to access the stage, and didn’t ensure the stages were wheelchair friendly. That is the absolute bare minimum in terms of accessibility.
I know this may come off as a fan trying to advocate on a creators behalf but this is from a disabled person, someone who sees this everyday in older stores.
The lack of ramps is an ADA violation.
The lack of respect is appalling. Do better.

Twitch as a company is a place that values its community first and is dedicated to earning the trust of others, according to its own leading principles. However, Twitch has failed in valuing the streamers in their community that have been dedicated to streaming on this platform for years.
Providing ramps and accessible entrances so that disabled streamers and panelists can access the same platforms and stages that able-bodied streamers is crucial to restoring community trust. It is heartbreaking to see that some streamers are treated like they are secondary to all other streamers. As someone who has watched this streamer for years and attended panels, it is disappointing that Twitch has been so unaccommodating year after year. Please reconsider your accessibility infrastructure to support your disabled streamers.

Everyone can use a ramp, not everyone can use steps. Accessibility is for everyone and should be normalized.

I am appalled that you did not have wheelchair accessibility for one of your most successful streamers.
You knew he would be receiving an AWARD. No ramp to the stage.
You knew he would be doing MCC. No ramp for equal recognition entrance.
Do Better. This is the third time he has attended Twitch Con. The first time, it’s a learning curve, we all get it. This continued lack of ADA accommodations for a celebrity status Twitch Partner is appalling.
The man is on the board of directors for Gamers Outreach. He’s a professional gamer and philanthropist with millions of followers. He should not have to beg for a ramp. Anyone with $200 can buy a portable ramp on Amazon that will handle his chair for two trips up and down.
Please provide appropriate accessibility accommodations for all wheelchair users at all future events. You invited him, you know he uses a motorized wheelchair.
Sincerely hoping for change,
