This pandemic is still happening. As a healthcare worker who has worked in a hospital during it this is a slap in the face and irresponsible. My husband and I were so excited to come back, as we had such a great time in 2019. But there is absolutely no way we would come this year based on these ridiculous standards. Every major convention has shown spikes in COVID cases, except for those that had stringent vaccination AND masking policies.

Not requiring masks, vaccination requirements and/or proof of negative test during a very much still happening pandemic, and another one right around the corner with MP. This is nothing short of violence against the disabled community first of all (a very large portion of your creators are disabled, btw) and second it’s straight up the stupidest most money grab garbage.

Obviously you're not paying attention twitch, people are *still* dying, and Los Angeles is gaining more and more Monkey Pox cases daily. You really don't care about your customers

Why do we even need a vote on this? That should be a no-brainer. Safety is more important than selling tickets.

Twitch, the responsible thing to do is require masks. Proof of vaccination and/or negative Covid test would be even better. Have people checking temps at the door. These are easy steps to make your convention accessible to those you claim to care about. If you don’t, it proves you don’t care about your creators, you just care about a bottom line.

Being a sufferer of anxiety I wouldn’t go when there is a mask mandate. Being able to read body language and someone’s face is essential in that allow me to manage my anxiety attacks. However I get the people wanting a mask mandate tho. People use your common sense if you are feeling unwell don’t go. Whether it is a normal flu or Covid.

Aside from what has already been stated, I'd like to point out this is not only reckless during not one, but TWO pandemics (MonkeyPox is spreading faster every day)-- but this alienates the disabled and weakened immune system portion of the community. What about them? What about the people that they might go home to whose lives they can't risk?

With as many people that caught Covid at the TwitchCon Amsterdam event you would think that Twitch would take as many precautions as necessary to make sure that didn't happen again in San Diego.

Not to mention that cases of MonkeyPox are on the rise in California as well.

Require masks, Require covid vaccination/negative test, or both. There's no reason not to put some guidelines in place for the safety of both the attendees of the event, as well as twitch & convention center staff putting the event on for us.

If SDCC can require masks, so can twitch on.

Just require masks. Admit y'all got it wrong with this call and reverse course on this. It's that simple.

Please require masks, it will help prevent the spread of more than just Covid-19. It will help keep people safe from other airborne pathogens as well.
