  1. Make the docs closer to OAuth specs. The docs say to send parameters to /token (and /revoke) in the query string, but this is non-standard. Twitch supports the parameters in either the query string or request body.

The documentation should prefer the standard approach of sending parameters in the request body.

  3. When I try to download the "Twitch+Developer+Rig+Setup.exe" from the following link https://link.twitch.tv/DevRig-Win I get sent to the next page: "This URL has been flagged by Bitly's systems as potentially harmful." Unfortunately, I cannot report this link to Bitly because I get sent to a "We're sorry. You can't access this item because it is in violation of our Terms of Service." page when I try.

I got this link from creating an extension and hitting the "Download Developer Rig" button. I am not sure if this actually malware or backdoored.

  5. The structure on how the extension and the Twitch platform communicate with each other is not rendered and only shows the raw (mermaid) input.
The title for the section is "How do Extensions work?"

  6. How do I get the authroization id? I can't find that anywhere. I have a client id now but running the example command results in a 401 invalid oauth token

  7. You can redeem Channel Points for two types of rewards, Automatic and Custom.

Becomes: Viewers can redeem Channel Points for two types of rewards, Automatic and Custom.

    SPACER

Custom Rewards are streamer-created benefits specific to the channel that generally require the streamer to take some action to fulfill them.

Becomes: Custom Rewards are creator-created benefits specific to the channel that generally require the creator to take some action to fulfill them.

Note: Creator is more on "brand" here with other parts of Twitch? as apposed to stream/broadcaster

  9. Please make a block diagram for Twitch Drops and ideally use a graphical description of the earning and notification flows. Concepts aren't very clear and even when getting something to work, it's easy to forget for the next time or the next developer will have to spend too much time understanding this system. That will help us all to set it up correctly and also explain to others what this does and how it does it.

  12. It would be nice to see JS client, Node Js, Python, Go, and Rust examples of these HTTP calls?

  13. commerce instruments is vague and not well defined. Is this refering to paypal/stripe? is this refering to using any sort of currency in the extension?

Please increase support of charity events on twitch. Some of the most wholesome content is the charity events, The explicit prevention in 5.4 of making an extension for charity drives and the like appears to only enhance the perception of corporate greed on the part of twitch.

  15. Please update the docs. They are very confusing and dont really explain how to do things properly. I read through the api and recieve errors in code when doing how the docs tells you to do it.

  18. There is an error in page https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/drops#viewer-heartbeat-service-vhs-data. The "time" value in the example is not valid rfc3339 timestamp. Removing the trailing "07:00" from "time": "2006-01-02T15:04:05Z07:00" will make it valid. Thanks!
