Next Step Button Hello guys, I can understand that documentation is boring but it brings a lot benefits on the long term. So please think about those two suggestions:
1) In your 101 tutorials page for example. Add an next page button.
2) Typos are made i know. I do it myself. But before publishing your guide check for typos - its your production environment. people can see this.Cheers
Patrick3 votesWe appreciate the feedback and will incorporate it in future updates to the website. However, at this time we do not plan on updating the tutorials pages until a brand new style for the documentation is launched.

Several missing scopes This page does not state all scopes that can be used, such as
openidandviewing_activity_reador even the fact that scopes are optional and can be left empty.3 votes -
Documentation is misleading The example and/or documentation of the "Channel Points Event Message" seem to be wrong/misleading, because the example reply does not match the structure of "Message Parameters: All Messages"

Modify Channel Information says "Query parameters" example post says JSON blob https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#modify-channel-information
The example calls uses JSON, but the documentation talks about Query String/URL encoded form.
Docs should cover both possibilities and examples should cover both methods
3 votesRequest Query Parameters and Request Body are both listed

Mention the limit on the JOIN/PART message page Why doesn't this page mention this only works on smaller Twitch streams? There is currently no indication that this wouldn't work for bigger size streamers, other than a few forum posts from years ago.

Scope Query Parameters are incorrect In the section which refers how get an access token for the bot, the scope query parameters seem to have a typo:
current: chat%3Aread+chat&3Aedit
should be: chat%3Aread+chat%3Aedit

Warning: This URL has been flagged by Bitly's systems as potentially harmful. When I try to download the "Twitch+Developer+Rig+Setup.exe" from the following link https://link.twitch.tv/DevRig-Win I get sent to the next page: "This URL has been flagged by Bitly's systems as potentially harmful." Unfortunately, I cannot report this link to Bitly because I get sent to a "We're sorry. You can't access this item because it is in violation of our Terms of Service." page when I try.
I got this link from creating an extension and hitting the "Download Developer Rig" button. I am not sure if this actually malware or backdoored.

Wrong User I think at the very bottom of this page you meant to write User C because that's what that paragraph is talking about.

Sample code in the Status section is mac only. Sample code for windows users would be awesome!

Add common (and uncommon) error responses from API request I received an error I have never seen before and it got me thinking it would be nice to have some documentation on various error messages like "Insufficient authorization in token". Other errors are clear and straight forwards like "missing X scope" however some are vague and unclear.

Improve documentation for WebHooks' hub.secret property The hub.secret property needs far more explaining of how the secret is generated:
"The X-Hub-Signature header is generated by sha256(secret, notification_bytes)"
It should say something along the lines of
"The X-Hub-Signature header is generated by using HMAC sha256 with the provided secret being the one specified in hub.secret: hmac(sha256, hubsecret).hash(notificationbody)"
2 votesX-Hub-Signature is no longer used

VIP scope mistake? Hey, it says "/vip /unvip" is under "channel:moderate" scope, wouldn't that be moderator status? because I'm sure moderators can't grant/remove VIP status to a user. Or am I wrong?

Complete Response Codes in Twitch Docs It would be great if we could have a list of the status codes and their reasons so we can write code to prepare for handling those errors, instead of logging them and dealing with them as they happen - for all endpoints. These exist, for the most part, in a lot of the newer endpoint documentation, but a lot of the older endpoints were rushed in their documentation and we have little information on what responses to expect. Sometimes we get 200s, 202s, 400s, 410s - and having to just "wait" or try to plan for them is a…
2 votesWe do plan on auditing all response codes for the purpose of documentation completeness, but at this time we are closing out this UserVoice as its not descriptive to any individual change.
