An error occurred while saving the comment リックロール commentedI'm known for my long username but everyone calls me 0xW – and I'd be fine if Twitch gave me something like 0xwwww[Emote], but instead they gave me x0xwww[Emote].
Where does the first x even come from? Is it there because the first character is a number and the prefix needs a letter at the beginning?

There seems to be a little update to this. Not sure if I can freely post links, that’s why I’ll just quote the tweet from zachbussey:
“ Twitch updated the Help Article on Username Transfer and Recycling.
They mainly updated the wording, but they did remove a section about recycling inactive usernames. (I'd wager they won't ever release inactive account names.)
