I love this idea. I've had unban requests that are really just sent as a means of harassing me, the streamer, further. Putting up a paywall to do that, even if it doesn't slow people down would at least compensate me for my time.

Adding a Captcha to account creation would be a good step toward combating the prevalence of hate raids and view bots on the platform. Having a Captcha at account creation might also give Twitch more options when it comes to removing the bad actors who are the actual people behind these actions, as they would be actively subverting a site safety feature.

Training Gen AI models on streamers only contributes to the erosion of the ability for us, as human beings, to be able to trust the things we see online with our own eyes. Twitch should not be participating in this at all, they should be the bastion of the opposition to such as every penny they make is from the effort of the people who livestream on their site.
There has always been the deal, unspoken or otherwise, that when we, the streamers make money off subs or bits they take a cut to keep the site we all use going. A symbiotic exchange.
Now, that is no longer enough. Twitch's C-suite wants to harvest our work FOR FREE without giving us a say in it, without anything in exchange for it. Just a quiet "leave if you don't like it" knowing that there are few other places for any of us to go to.
The least they can do is to Opt everyone out by default.
