Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

yeah no. this aint it fam. as a CC who makes 95% of their income from bits, this is a nail in the coffin for small streamers. i think this is a great idea ALONG SIDE of bits but not to REPLACE bits. also this was a REALLY bad time to roll out this experiment considering recent events....
AI tools already exist via third party bots like FrostyTools. If people want a feature like this, they should use those third party options. I do not think this should be brought to Twitch. Most creators do not want AI in their streams. If someone in chat wants an overview, the streamer or their mods can catch them up (and will gladly do so!)
AI does not need to be present in every facet of our lives, and ESPECIALLY not in creative spaces like here on Twitch. If this does become a feature despite our objections, at least make it toggle-able so those of us who don't want it can opt out. Forced AI overviews like this will destroy the unique work that each streamer puts into their community, channel, and their content.
