I have been googling for a while to try and work out the difference between these two features. Ignore and Block are both listed in moderation tool articles, but ignores features are also included in blocking, so I'm confused why both exist. Furthermore, you can access a list of blocked users, but not a list of ignored users. This means you may ignore in error with a misclick, see "user ignored successfully" in chat, but never be able to confirm who was ignored so you are not able to undo the action.
I would love for the "moderation tools" help page to clarify the difference between them, add an ignore list for us to use, or even just disable ignores entirely since the commands do essentially the same thing...Cobie

Yes please. This seems such an obvious oversight that I'm hoping it is a mistake that is easily fixed. Non-verified individuals should not have any bearing on chat at ALL if you choose.

We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.
Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.
In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.
We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

Put ads as banners below stream, or as popup videos in the corner of the screen This is implemented all across the web and is particularly important when the website is selling live content that should not be interrupted.
Muting, minimising, and obscuring streams will only hurt a streaming platform.Cobie

AI undermines the connection between streamer and chat, and devalues the "product" that twitch is selling??? If you want to treat every stream as original, this is not the way. When people are trying to make streams from themselves, their original ideas and their own charismatic personalities, then the ideas of privacy and identity are SO important. So I am baffled by this direction and will not be part of feeding any AI systems.
Why would streamers and chatters continue to use Twitch when AI features makes it not even feel like Twitch any more? Sites like Tiktok live will replace Twitch if you make the mistake of devaluing your client base and pushing people away with AI features.
AI is so universally divisive that I'm baffled you would even entertain it, not to mention the cost which is notably having impact on even huge megacorps like Google.
AI learning MUST be off by default and streamers must be allowed to make informed choices about which features utilise AI. Twitch need to improve and be transparent about this.
