Agree 100%
1. one streamer i view, when first seeing the gifs, immediately looked for cool-down options. Wants to have gifs, but there are no controls.
2. As a viewer, i find gifs distracting. They are gigantified moving breaks in the chat flow. But emote animations are small and kinda cute. i now have to turn off animations for gifs, turn them back on for emote animations, off, on, repeat. I know i may be in the minority regarding gifs, ok fine. But give me the option to turn them off without affecting emote animations or other viewers.
3. Yes gigantic huge moving breaks in the chat flow. Overstimulating.
4. Yes costing bits like power-ups totally makes sense to support streamers. And still please give me 2.

Agree with the subject line.
I'd like to see a viewer specific option to turn off AI Summaries, even globally across all channels I watch. My experience: the AI summary is like a new viewer coming into a channel with no context or reading-the-room and shouting "Here's my Summary, is it helpful?" No. It is not. Why are you here.
AI Summaries are distracting and do not contribute to community building or interaction. It doesn't recognize that part of the viewer returning experience is catching up by interacting directly with the community and the streamer. At best the AI takes away this interaction; at worst it is the uncool happy-puppy kid who just shows up randomly and should be banned.

I still use the browser to watch twitch on mobile - ever since new changes released. My main issue was the non-optional autoplay. No. Drains my battery and costs twitch money when they actually say they want to save on costs. Yes as limiting as the mobile browser experience is, I still prefer it over the twitch app experience. Just my 2 cents.

This experiment is now closed as the new mobile redesign is rolling out to all users. Thank you for all your feedback during the experiment. We released an update to respect your autoplay settings in the feed, muted the feed on open by default (you can adjust this in your settings), and added mute functionality directly to the feed to give you more control over your viewing experience. We also enabled PIP over feed and have been continuing to improve app performance since launch. Learn more about the new app on our blog and continue to share feedback with us on the improved experience in the mobile category on UserVoice.

A top reason for Twitch costs called out is the cost of streaming video, yet the new UI Home screen forces auto-play. Help us help you. Make autoplay optional (there is a Never autoplay setting and it is ignored).
Be better than Toktik and Instafram. Don't copy. At best make it as a separate optional view mode, as others have suggested. I won't use it and may even uninstall the Twitch app if it stays. I now use the Home->heart-3dash button to navigate to a stream I want to watch - extra clicks extra work.

We have heard the feedback in this idea & its comments and reworked chat replies to reduce noise. By allowing users to reply directly to a specific message in a thread, only the user being responded to will be @'ed, rather than the user whose comment initiated the thread. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Me with replies experiment: tries to copy raid message, ready to go, chat raids new stream, pastes garbled raid text, confusion. Spends 30 seconds fixing formatting or recreating raid message. Realizes raid is over. xP
Also me:
Tries to reply to own chat message with a Kappa. No reply option.
In fast moving chat, chases the message to reply and miss-clicks.
Maybe this is for VODs? No reply options in VODs.
Looks for the Turn-Off option... <shrug>

as of Sept 10, 2026 I now see viewer settings that let me turn off gifs and/or animations while leaving emote animations on. This addresses my bullet 2. Ty twitch!
