Hey all! Thanks for this thread. We recently deprecated anonymous Cheering after we discovered it was being abused. While we understand some viewers prefer not being recognized for Cheering, we made this change to ensure a safer experience for those who were negatively impacted.
We’ve also heard your concerns on what this means for the future of Bits. This deprecation is not related to any plans to limit Cheering with Bits on Twitch, and is solely focused on providing a safer experience for our community.

I would really appreciate if we could create moments from a VOD when the stream is over. In a stream where clips are constantly happening, having to choose during it when to make something a moment is not ideal. As well, it would be nice to be able to hold a "best clip of the week" contest with the community and whatever wins gets turned into a moment. People who were there get a notification in their Twitch homepage to claim the badge.

I really LOVE this idea! I would strongly suggest giving us the ability to choose the day though. As an affiliate, I prefer to celebrate the anniversary of the day that I started streaming and not the affiliate date. I honestly feel like a good amount of affiliates do the same thing.

Setting this to a partial release status as the majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

Could you please make anonymous cheering a feature that can be enabled and disabled on a per streamer basis? There are many folks who have loyal community members who like to cheer anonymously once in a while to avoid having pressure on them from the rest of the community, or even the streamer (some people just don't want to be thanked). Meanwhile, the streamers who have been harrassed by anonymous cheering can disable it and feel much more safe in their streams. It doesn't make sense to keep the ability to gift subs anonymously, but not have it for bits.
