It's a dilemma. While freeing up unused usernames is appealing, I wouldn't want to lose mine, even if I leave Twitch for, say, 10 years—it's a part of me. One idea is a PARTNER ONLY benefit: allowing partners a one-time name transfer from inactive accounts after 5 years of inactivity. Twitch would send warning emails to the account owner, and if there's no response, the name transfers to the partner.
