Not impressed. I never liked this kind of feature on any of the mobile apps I've used. If Twitch wants to keep this "feature" then they should allow us, the viewers, an option to disable stories. This is like YouTube shorts and I'm not a fan of it. This TikTok "trend" needs to stop. Some of us don't care for this, and that's not what I come onto Twitch for. I come for the streams, not the "Stories." Besides, we can already watch short clips made by viewers on a streamer's channel, this is redundant.
I too am sick and tired of the gambling adverts. It's very telling about Twitch when trying to report these gambling ads results in me getting an error of "Something went wrong, please try again," when that didn't happen until after all of the gambling ads I properly reported as being shown too often. Twitch is doing itself a disservice and continuously proving my point why their support team is useless and doesn't want to fix issues related to both the chat issues and now this gambling advert spam for the past few years. This is exactly the reason I've given them a 1/5 stars and made sure my dissatisfaction with this platform was known via Trustpilot[dot]com, as Twitch deserves. If Twitch really cared about gambling addiction, they wouldn't be promoting Prizepicks, Hard Rock Cafe, etc. so much which is why folks can tell it's a blatant lie and cop-out to say they're against gambling issues when they heavily promote it for the past year or so. Actions speak louder than words, Twitch.
If Twitch wants to fix its reputation even in the slightest, it'll stop being hypocritical in limiting channels that have played games that do not promote real life gambling with real world currency and it'll stop promoting all of these gambling ads, and it'll stop blaming people like me for issues they themselves are responsible for. Twitch needs to answer and be held accountable for its unwillingness to even do the easiest, basic, correct thing, to fix its own site and stop being hypocritical, to stop lying to us, the end users. The damage they have done to themselves however will remain and plenty of folks like myself will no longer still trust Twitch to be acting in good faith. The only reason some of us still use Twitch is because we have close friends we support whom stream here and that is it.
