Hey all,
Thank you for the patience with us on this. This has been one of the most popular ideas on UserVoice and we definitely heard your feedback.
Today we launched /announcement for mods and streamers. Announcements can be used in chat to highlight a message and are available in 4 different colors along with the channel accent color. Because this is only part of the ask of this idea we are setting this idea to partial release so the community can continue to leave feedback on this.

Italics are a lot harder to read for people with dyslexia or whom are visually impaired. If this were an issue of people who may be visually impaired not being able to tell the difference between a fake coloured donation then please make this an optional way of viewing /me on the user side. I personally still want to see coloured messages for emphasis, my bot messages, and in raid messages and would like to have the choice. While it’s such a small feature, /me is one of my favourite chat features on the platform and I do not want to see it go.

Creating a Trans Alliance and Moderation Camp would benefit the communities mentioned in the original posting in so many ways. It would allow for discussions of safety & diversity in a space that is accessible for everyone on Twitch. It would also bring awareness to the Trans community by uplifting their voices and showing the diversity within the community, while also creating a space that is not cis-centric, which is paramount when taking steps to being more inclusive and bringing more visibility to the marginalized groups on your platform.
