Hey all,
Thank you for the patience with us on this. This has been one of the most popular ideas on UserVoice and we definitely heard your feedback.
Today we launched /announcement for mods and streamers. Announcements can be used in chat to highlight a message and are available in 4 different colors along with the channel accent color. Because this is only part of the ask of this idea we are setting this idea to partial release so the community can continue to leave feedback on this.

We’ve released an update today that addresses some of the feedback in this thread:
- You can now once again highlight and copy messages for easy translation, raid message organization, and general copypastas
- Clicking into the chat will not immediately open the reply function. On hover, the reply button in the top right of the message will initiate the reply
As it’s been a few days, curious to hear whether the initial feelings and experiences have changed!

While I think this might be of use, my route to it is purge anything that is not English or German (mod in an GER/ENG) stream...
Pointing out with the !Language command we created that we only allow German and or English in chat...
Google what they wrote, if it was offensive add an extra /ban to it...

You can sort of do this... Already if you ban f.e an excessive user of HeyGuys (like 3 times right after each other)
If you disallow HeyGuys HeyGuys HeyGuys
Every message containing HeyGuys three or more times right after each other (even at the end of the message) it is blocked...
So it is for anything you could blacklist...

You have a lot of different suggestions here, the latter of which have not been implemented so I will leave the topic open, but I wanted to let the thread know that we have recently released the ability to remove followers from your list by Blocking them.
https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/1243643979897417730?s=20
You can see how to Block a user here: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/how-to-manage-harassment-in-chat#BlockWhispersandMessagesfromStrangers
Additionally, you can see your channel Banned Chatters in your Moderation Preferences in the Dashboard

@mouse
Is there any hope we can see this as a release for user that the streamer trusts (i.e moderators with dashboard editor permission)?
A "sudo /Block"
