I really dislike that the chat is being cleared once you go back to the live broadcast, and I'm also not too big of a fan of how the rewind feature is implemented to be honest.
While it was probably the easiest to just use the same layout ads and watch parties use, doing it this way for rewinding streams and going back to live is just not it.
I know that YouTube's player works vastly different, but having both the rewinded stream and the live stream in the same place is A LOT more user friendly and a much better experience in my opinion.
Apart from that, I assume this why it's being tested, but the rewinding does not always work. Sometimes it just pushes the live broadcast to the top right and mutes it, then loads the VOD for 1-2 seconds staying at 00:00:00, fails and goes back to the live broadcast without unmuting it.
I had no chance to check out the watch trailer button yet, I don't think anyone that I watch has a trailer on their channel, but the remind me button seems to do what it should (will have to wait until tomorrow to see if I get a notification)

We have heard the feedback in this idea & its comments and reworked chat replies to reduce noise. By allowing users to reply directly to a specific message in a thread, only the user being responded to will be @'ed, rather than the user whose comment initiated the thread. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Don't get me wrong, the idea is good and the feature can be super useful, but the current implementation is horrendous to say it in a nice way.
@SirStendec has done a better job with his custom FrankerFaceZ UI in less than a day:

His barely changes the look of chat and is not intrusive at all while keeping all features. Then just add a toggle for the reply icon in chat settings and this new feature is perfectly fine.
