Hey guys! We really appreciate the feedback that has been brought forth in this thread and just wanted to update you a little bit on what is going on.
This change was originally made to guard against raid bot attacks. While smaller raids are currently viewable in activity feed in the dashboard, we are working on a solution that treats raids equally while guarding against abuse tactics.

I'm quite glad this post blew up, and people are 100% with smaller streamers with so much positive feedback, and I hope Twitch does listen and actually roll this stupid decision back. They don't need to intervene with how many people are in raids/hosts notification feeds as that can all be done on the Streamer's side with their Alert Notifications by setting the minimum for their alerts, these features are already available in Streamlabs, Streamelements, Muxy, Nightbot, Moobot, and many others, it doesn't need to be enforced on Twitch's end.
For everyone else who sees this post, please do reshare it, and upvote it, because this severely impacts smaller streamers.

I'm not a fan of the current way Twitch has it setup for Mature Streams that are marked for +18 Mature, a click of a button shouldn't just automatically grant whoever to watch those types of streams, and so what I propose is a Age Verification system to verify those users are of age before being allowed to watch those streams by using a Digital ID Age Verification system. This would not only properly protect minors and prevent them from watching stuff they shouldn't, but also adult streamers as well.
A simple age verification check would make it so that people who are allowed to watch mature content are allowed, and those who aren't are kept out, clicking a button on a stream when warned about mature content doesn't seem like enough effort, and somewhat lazy. But it should be a one-time verification thing that ties with the users account after verifying their age. And no it's not private sensitive information that will be shown or available to streamers themselves, but only by Twitch itself and the ID system who can only see this information. The ID system would also have to make checks that they're verifying a real person and not a generated bot in order to fool the system with fake information.
There are third-party ID verification systems like Passbase which can automate ID verification and age verification process.

They had this feature before, but it never worked because Twitter kept changing it's API and broke it.

We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

At least limit or prohibit people donating Bits as Anons, becusse there are bots that spam 1 bits in multiple messages.
With the option of being able to set Disconnect Protection from the Streamer Dashboard settings, it would be nice if streamers could upload their own custom temporary video when they accidentally fall offline unexpectedly while streaming.
Keep it a short looping 12s 720p or 1080p temporary video for when streamer gets disconnected.
