An error occurred while saving the comment herokerrey commentedSeconded! I personally use whispers as a way to facilitate giveaways so we keep everything on the platform- but I'd love more filters for whispers, especially as a femme presenting creator. I would love to filter out phrases to protect my mental!

An error occurred while saving the comment herokerrey commentedThis was my 1st Twitchcon and it was SO amazing. I'm so happy I made the trip from the east coast to Vegas.
However, I need to point out something overlooked- we are a community of gamers and for me- the city itself was so overstimulating that it was very difficult for me to find time to recharge as an introvert. I pushed myself mentally attending this trip that by 8 pm daily I was falling asleep while standing.
I want to be mindful of the target audience Twitch serves - I would probably assume many of us felt the same about the overstimulation. While I understand in person events are a hype/stimulating experience- pairing it with one of the most active cities in the world may have not been the best pick.
Additionally, I picked the hotel suggested from Twitch and even as a fit person, the city was very unwalkable and painful to experience. I can only imagine how the experience was for those who needed accessibility accommodations.
I praise Twitch for giving us plenty of quiet time and space WITHIN the center. I have no complaints how it was set up - but the setting of it was very difficult for many of us!
I'm happy to go back to the West (though I'm biased and would love an East coast location ;) ) but I think prioritizing accessibility and comfort should be #1 consideration for future Twitchcons.

An error occurred while saving the comment herokerrey commentedWhile I understand the decision to not include gift subs initially is probably based on that number being volatile, it is definitely doable to offer an alternative and increase that requirement to to factor in the risk. I want to see more of my streamer peers make this program - if their community gifts subs to support them it's because they want to see them succeed! I favor a 500/*** total with gift subs considered.

An easy change to consider is the plus program as eligibility/a consideration.
You can have 1 person gift subs to the subpoint thresholds, but you cannot artificially do that via the plus program.
This is an excellent way to measure engagement in a streamer's community. Please consider this as another threshold for those who have strong communities!
