Hey all! Thanks for this thread. We recently deprecated anonymous Cheering after we discovered it was being abused. While we understand some viewers prefer not being recognized for Cheering, we made this change to ensure a safer experience for those who were negatively impacted.
We’ve also heard your concerns on what this means for the future of Bits. This deprecation is not related to any plans to limit Cheering with Bits on Twitch, and is solely focused on providing a safer experience for our community.

Yes, if there are streamers uncomfortable with the anonymous function, then please allow the *streamers* to decide on having that feature. Please do not take it from everyone, and turn it into a toggle feature.
Sometimes people want to support without the spotlight being turned on them.

Do not go this route, please.
Streamers are getting a HUGE hit in their pay, and viewers are being deceived. Bits were clear - 100 bits = $1 that the streamer RECIEVES. The UI is extremely misleading.

LGBTQIA+, Pansexual, Closed Captions, First Playthrough, 100%, No Backseating, No Spoilers, She/Her, Cozy, Chatty - I'd love to be able to use all of these on my stream. Discoverability is hard, this makes it just a little easier for us.

I'd be fine with the auto tags removed completely, and let us pick if we want our game to be tagged "Action" or something more important to us :) then we won't have an overhaul of tags, and can stick to the 10 limit.

YES! Just like the Retro category.
I would love expansion on this too -
A chance to have 2 categories per game. Their genre & then their actual game. So people could be discovered via either.
This would help us with the retro category, and actually know what game the streamers are playing, as well as adding a JRPG category, Shooter, etc.
We have the Indie shelf on the homepage, but it would be so nice to actually be a browsable category. & when browsing, actually be able to view what game is being played.
