We are actively reviewing the use cases that were shared in the quarterly survey that closed on August 1. 72 developers provided feedback for this question, which we greatly appreciate! This will help us understand the best design for such an endpoint. Given this research, we will move the suggestion into "Investigating."

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

Stream quality settings do exist, but it's not for everyone. Partnered streamers are guaranteed to get it. Affiliated streamers have higher priority, but aren't guaranteed. Everyone else only gets it if there's processing power available.
Lower quality settings require processing power for real-time transcoding. It's not free.
