    as long as twitch makes it so i don't have to use a mobile phone number I'm good with it

    infact let's use a token generator like authy would if they,d let it

    @toqeer12 @iAndy88

    my issue is that twitch seems to only allow verification via mobile device to count as verified - i live where there isn't any mobile towers and have a land line because of this. There needs to be an acceptable alternative

    ArcanicFlame is exactly right its turned on verified only and only mobile phone numbers are valid - but not all carriers and not s7 net safe ones either

    SO AGAIN TWITCH - Refer to STEP ONE - EVERY ONE CAN VERIFY

    I've been having this issue off an on for about 2 Years now off and on - Some months you can manage to not have the issue for a week or two.

    Support is no help it keeps telling me verify by phone -- I can't because there are no mobile towers for me to get the signal where my home is LandLine Authy does offer a voice call out to verify but twitch doesn't use that .

    and Lets review anyway 2FA via SMS isn't really all that secure - how about letting us us a registered token generation

    Unfortunately I've been told they won't do anything about this (Verified Accounts Only Chat) as they think its the best way to verify to prevent bots etc.

    However they don't want to understand not everyone even can use Mobile SMS since Mobile service doesn't work where there are no towers / transceivers

    Also, they have refereed me to posting here and I've noticed there are 100s entries and 1000s of commenters

    after more than 5 years and following Customer support et al. they just wont even communicate with you - there is no reasonable accommodation even if you do want to provide a phone number it fails
