I worked for years to reach Partner status on your platform and I want to say that this move - adding this feature in the dead of night with no notice despite over ten thousand active voices pleading with you not to - has damaged the community's trust in you significantly. It is clear you are not listening to any of us. You have opened the door for an alternative platform to rise up and win content creators over, which harms us all - fewer streamers on Twitch damages all of our livelihoods. This is a braindead and tone-deaf move.

Please please please keep generative AI away from my creative work. Please give me the freedom to protect my intellectual property from the Content Gnasher. I do not want it.

This is just like those awful GenAI emotes. What kind of community celebration skips the community it's celebrating? This sends the wrong message in a lot of ways and is a really ugly vibe.

The vague terminology, combined with Twitch's terrible TOS "strikes" system, make this a breeding ground for report abuse.
Worse, this "clarification" does not clarify anything. If my "lived experience" is that I am being politicized, that legislation is being passed to further marginalize me, is discussing that allowed under this policy or not?
This change isn't progress, it's placation. Until we know, definitively, that we are safe under this policy, we have no choice but to push back.

Yeah over two and a half years of streaming I've built up an enormous library of emotes, and I rotate them out from time to time to keep things fresh...but it would be nice to be able to just use them AND have some control over what rewards my community gets for supporting me.

Once again, Twitch endangers the backbone of its entire user base.
We are creatives, and we are the ones making you money. If you alienate us this blithely, you will lose more than you gain.
Even those of us who stay have already lost considerable goodwill towards the platform - do not squander what you have left.
