We are actively investigating APIs for the music catalog. It is a complex challenge that requires more scrutiny than our usual endpoints. We will have further information about the potential implementation and availability of these APIs at a later date. Allowing APIs for the DJ catalog would enable 3rd parties including DJ software makers such as Alpha Theta (Rekordbox), Serato, Native Instruments (Traktor), Atomix Production (VirtualDJ), etc. to integrate their software to enable DJs to remain compliant with the program policy in a way that fits the DJ workflow.
There is already a lot of mental overhead with spinning a DJ set, especially while managing a stream. If you are building a set on the fly, you need a fast way to ensure the next tracks you cue up are compliant. The current DJ catalog interface will not work in those scenarios.
DJs do not always pre-plan their sets and even when they do, there is often an element of improvisation or deviation from the plan. Many take requests. DJs need a way to verify we are playing compliant tracks quickly and that fits within the DJ workflow.

We would like to offer an “off-duty mode” for Mods, but it isn’t one of our top priorities at the moment. Will revisit in 2021.

Depending on the type of stream I'm doing or a particular segment on the stream, I may not always want the power ups enabled. I'd like a way to disable all three types of power ups individually, but just being able to disable them all with one switch would also be fine.

Also, please explicitly display the time zone next to any displayed times. That ensures there is no confusion, no matter where you are viewing the page from.

We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.
Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.
In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.
We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

Had no idea what the numbers in the dashboard meant. I have at points in my career been a data analyst, I am very comfortable with numbers and finances, have been following the DJ program very closely, and have read very carefully all the written materials Twitch has provided to date, including the DJ Program FAQ page that is under the Learn More link in the DJ Subsidy area. It's clear as mud.
Please use the word "cost" or "licensing cost" "licensing fee" or something similar that very clearly indicates how much I, as a DJ, am paying (or would be paying without the Twitch subsidy / will be paying in August 2025) to cover my portion of the music licensing. Using the word "payout" for the field currently named "Subsidized payout for MONTH" is completely unclear. It's actually the cost the DJ would have paid, if Twitch were not covering 100% of that in August 2024.
Zach's example uses very clear language and if the Dashboard UI looked like that, I would have immediately understood the data presented so I could forecast my own finances AND clearly see the benefit that Twitch is providing DJs through the subsidy.
