New Chat badge for how long you’ve been with Twitch I think it would be a neat feature for users to earn a chat badge for a specific amount of the time that they have been on Twitch.
In my opinion, a 5-year badge would be appropriate for this feature (i.e. If I created my account in 2011, I would earn a badge in 2016).
There can be a 1-year badge, 3-year badge, 5-year badge, 5+-year badge and then a Twitch founder badge for people that have created their accounts in 2011
This would also be a great way of saying thank you to those who have been using the website for a while and motivate those to remain on Twitch.
I also think there should be Birthday Badges that are shown globally for the people that are on Twitch the day that they created their account and or for their actual birthdays. Kind of like on Reddit were they have their own little 'Happy Cake day' something similar can be implemented into Twitch chat.
An Affiliate badge is something that is most needed for Affiliate streamers on Twitch. Affiliates should have a global badge that separates them from the rest of the chat as broadcasters. Kind of like the 'verified symbol' for Partners, but just specific to Twitch Affiliates. That badge will be benefiting hardworking Affiliates that socialize in other channels and would help them get followers and gain new supporters. Also as a streamer myself, I would like to know when someone on my channel is a streamer so I can follow them too. To avoid being overused by people who streamed for a little and then realized it's not for them, twitch can have some requirements to get and maintain the badge such as streaming hours p/month or total hours.
Developer Badge and a Verified Game Dev Badge. There should also be a Global badge for the number of streamers you are subscribed too. These are all very intricate ideas that could be implemented into the badge system that I think will improve the way chat interacts with one another. One last thing. If you guys do incorporate this idea, can you guys create a new badge like 'glhf' badge or Twitch prime badge specifically for people who have requested a feature that has been implemented into the Twitch system so we can get recognition and have proof to tell friends and show chat. I think that by making these badges, it would encourage more people to request for new features that could improve Twitch quality and the community as a whole. We could call it the 'Uservoice' badge or something along those lines and the badge icon could be a cute little light bulb that's sparkling. That's all from me though. Thanks Twitch for your cooperation and transparency. Keep up the good work! <3 xqcL
