We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.
Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.
In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.
We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

@Twitch but what about viewers who were unjustly banned? Why are they getting punished? Also, what about abusive streamers who talk about abusing children then claim its "just a joke" or "harmless banter" are you really protecting those people?
There is someone who ive tried reporting but nothing is done about it.

The only reason I don't like this Idea is because streamers and moderators will ban a viewer for no valid reason. Take me for example, back in April of 2023 a Streamer banned me for talking to much about my job (which isn't that big of a deal) but then lets viewers say much worse things, things like Incest, Child abuse, etc. But those people are still there and the streamer has not been banned by twitch for that behavior, it makes no sense.

I never understood why streamers would ban you for
1. Doing nothing wrong but keep people from doing the things they accused you of
2. Doing something wrong, but then letting other people do the things they banned you for
3. Doing nothing wrong/Doing something, but then let people do even worse
4. No reason.
I know how you feel its stupid, if people are THAT offended by the presence of someone in their stream then obviously streaming is too advanced for them.
