Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. SDA's are a great idea but please either remove pre/mid-roll ads or at the very least make the SDA's count towards pr-roll time. Pre-rolls are incredibly damaging to streamers. Nothing kills a raid like a pre-roll, and personally when I'm scrolling around for a streamer to watch, If I am not in the mood for an add I immediately just click off when one occurs and end up going to Youtube.

We recently announced the upcoming launch of the Twitch Discovery Feed: a scrollable feed in the Twitch app that shows users a personalized mix of Clips.
Before that launch happens, we’ll be running experiments with limited versions of the Discovery Feed to help test and improve our algorithms plus the overall experience. These early experiments do not reflect the final design or experience of the Discovery Feed.

A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

SDA's are a step in the right direction, but please just remove pre-roll adds or at least make the SDA's count towards their time. Pre-rolls are the most disruptive thing about adds on this platform and right now SDA's aren't solving that problem.
