Family Friendly Platform.... nudity in any form should be an instant ban from the company... those of you negatively commenting must not have kids. As a mother, seeing streams like "Licking Mics" or Licking and sucking ears" or "reviewing Popscicles/suckers" is highly distasteful and offensive on a platform that makes claims towards being a family friendly environment for all to enjoy. There are plenty of other platforms that have means of barring access to adult orientated content that these "artists" can take their content to.

DO NOT TRY TO VALIDATE EXPOSING CHILDREN TO NUDITY OR ADULT ORIENTATED CONTENT!

Instead consider how you would feel as a parent if your child brought you their tablet and its a half nude person doing sexually suggestive things on twitch and they want to know what they are doing and why.

I understand many consider it a personal attack on their creativity; to you i say, find an appropriate platform for your work then. Because i can honestly say this, if my child finds something like that and brings it to me, i will take legal action for my child being exposed to that **** on what is supposed to be a family friendly and safe platform for all ages to enjoy sharing and viewing unique content <3

    Relevant Update  ·  Twitch responded

We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.

Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.

In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.

We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.
