This seems like an interesting feature for discovery!
One thing that bothers me a lot is that the old "Popular Clips" shelf has disappeared. It's cool that streamers will be able to choose clips that represent them well, but constantly keeping up with new clips on the channel, only to have to manually feature the most popular ones, seems to be a lot of work for something that has already existed before: the popular clips shelf. As GreatSphynx says, streamers should have the option to customize the shelves and put popular clips at the top again. Featured clips can then still be used for discovery purposes elsewhere on Twitch, but the streamer needs control over their own channel. -

As mentioned earlier today on the TwitchDev Standard Output broadcast, we are moving this suggestion to "planned." We appreciate everyone's patience with this one. Although it sounds simple and we see the value, there were a number of underlying complexities to consider before we had confidence in a path forward and providing a response. We will provide another update when the endpoint is available for testing.

I was disappointed to find out that third-party chat clients don't even have access to the /restrict and /monitor commands!
That command should be enabled for third-party clients.Fitti supported this idea ·

On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.
While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.

The feature is a lot of fun! It should stay, but should also be opt-in for creators, instead of being enabled by default!

Unpublished VODs are currently entirely unusable. I am not able to watch them, put them into the highlight editor, or even download them.
If a VOD has to be unpublished, because something got leaked during it, it is impossible to remove that part of the VOD with the highlight editor UNLESS you re-publish the VOD and let everyone else watch the leak.
Please let us edit VODs while they're unpublished.
Another problem with featured clips at the moment is that unfeaturing is extremely unintuitive. The "Feature This Clip" button should be replaced by an "Unfeature This Clip" button after pressing it, instead of just being greyed out. Also, maybe the three dot menu in the featured clips section, which currently only has a "Report Clip" button, should have an "Unfeature Clip" button as well. The only way I could find out how to unfeature a clip was by carefully reading the Featured Clips article.
