An error occurred while saving the comment AnimeCwboy commentedLooking at the 2 games themselves, it's hard to justify it falls into the Remake Game Type per the rules defined in the IGDB contributions. (Particularly saying it is built from the ground up and started over in a 2 year difference of release.)

If you feel this is is still in error, you can submit an edit on the pages to classify it as a Remaster/Remake (Expanded Game might be more likely). Be sure to leave a comment on the edit as to why you feel this is a necessary change. (beyond getting it on Twitch).

An error occurred while saving the comment AnimeCwboy commentedCover preferences has been mentioned in the pipeline, but for right now the default for NA covers is a Twitch mandate, not a choice by IGDB who themselves are based in Europe. Additionally, it's alot harder to quantify "popularity" over an entire database globally for all users in the meantime, hence the Twitch mandate.

An error occurred while saving the comment AnimeCwboy commentedAdditionally, an option for a link recommending titles with similar names would be also helpful. (Similar to how wikipedia suggests "if you are looking for X, try this page: [link]")

Hi there! We couldn't agree more that we need something to differentiate official and unofficial content and we've been discussing for a while how we can do that. We are currently investigating ways forward to make sure that when we do this, it's done correctly. Thanks for the great suggestion!

Hi! We think this is a fantastic idea and follow the patterns we have for videos which indeed improves the consistency. We have made a ticket and will try to work on this as soon as possible. Thanks!

There’s a good suggestion here, although it could also add some friction. In particular for users doing a lot of edits in a row.
Adding a page between would add extra pages and clicks, making the contribution flow slower.
I would picture more like having a recap visible at all times through in the sidebar maybe, somewhat like an online store shopping cart (-Cover, Keywords X2, Genre, Screenshots X5 etc..).
An error occurred while saving the comment AnimeCwboy commentedIf that would be an option. I'd definitely see that as a viable alternative, where there is an extra section/tab with all changes previewed that you could click before submission if selected. That sounds like a dynamic pain to program, but it is a good UX option if feasible.

Hi! We talked about adding this theme, and we all agreed that it's a good idea. We just have to write clear guidelines around it. We are looking to add this as soon as possible. Thanks!

Heya!
There’s absolutely a need for multiple covers as a data point, we hear you :) Let’s clarify what this could mean in the near future:
One thing that we are currently looking at is expanding data for Localization, and covers are an obvious fit for this. However it’s worth pointing that Localized cover and additional cover might not mean the same thing. For example offering the Japanese specific cover doesn’t mean having multiple variant for it (different artworks, logo style, dimensions etc..).
We will start with Localization, which will help provide API users more options for their own communities. And as a second step from there we would begin looking at how to offer multiple variant of a single regional cover so that users may pick & choose.
Hope this helps!

The IGDB entry for the 2016 itch.io game "Crypto" is correct. This category icon on Twitch however has been overridden by Twitch themselves to represent cryptocurrency, which would be on their end to address.
