An error occurred while saving the comment Willium_Bob_Cole commentedWe can do this, however the feature is broken, and the processing on YouTube gets abandoned due to being too long. Also the parts get labelled 0/2 and 1/2, instead of 1/2 and 2/2, though that is far less of a problem than the non-processing of the file in the first place. Please fix!

An error occurred while saving the comment Willium_Bob_Cole commentedYeah this is really frustrating, I had gone back and marked a bunch of VODs for export before they were deleted, and then didn't check on their status until it was too late; 14-16 hour streams, split into a "processing abandoned, video is too long" part, and a random few hours from the end getting preserved. As far as I can tell, my only option on YouTube is to delete the file, but I am afraid to press the button in case there ever was a way to snip the ends of the file and have it finally be processed. Someone please let me know if there's a way to recover the abandoned file on YouTube... But yeah, this shouldn't be a problem in the first place, and it really needs to export in correctly sized segments!

An error occurred while saving the comment Willium_Bob_Cole commentedI am certain this was a feature for a while, but right when I wanted to start using it, it was gone. IDK if YouTube put pressure on Twitch to remove the feature because it would naturally use a chunk of their bandwidth and storage, but automating archival is a huge feature that I hope we can get back soon...

Love this concept. I have merged in another idea that was specifically asking for visible markers for exported VODs, but I think overall your idea encompasses this. Just letting everyone know.

I am almost certain that this WAS a feature for some amount of time, I saw it but didn't think much of archival at the time... I was a fool, but anyway, when I decided I should turn it on, I found the feature to be missing, my guess is YouTube told Twitch to cut it out because of bandwidth and storage concerns, and so that forces us to export manually... I could be wrong of course, but regardless, it would be nice to have that feature available soon, making archival automatic is the easiest way to avoid regret over not archiving in the first place...
