Is it because they want to get data from our phones when we scan the qr code so they can sell it to third parties?

So the assumption is you want us all to stop using twitch on console? maybe just do everyone a favor and shut down the console app entirely. How does this benefit twitch to have less users? Is it a data collection thing theyre trying to do by us scanning a qr code?
