We are actively investigating APIs for the music catalog. It is a complex challenge that requires more scrutiny than our usual endpoints. We will have further information about the potential implementation and availability of these APIs at a later date. If you have a use case in mind, please include it in the comments below as this would be helpful for our development process.

This experiment is now closed as the new mobile redesign is rolling out to all users. Thank you for all your feedback during the experiment. We released an update to respect your autoplay settings in the feed, muted the feed on open by default (you can adjust this in your settings), and added mute functionality directly to the feed to give you more control over your viewing experience. We also enabled PIP over feed and have been continuing to improve app performance since launch. Learn more about the new app on our blog and continue to share feedback with us on the improved experience in the mobile category on UserVoice.

    No! No! No! Hate it!
Put it back the way it was! Auto playing some random stream loudly and full screen is not what I want. I don't want to scroll thru random channel to channel like TikTok. You are not supposed to be TikTok. I don't want to be on TikTok. Just show me what I've already told you I want to follow, or let me browse categories if I'm really desperate. Do not opt me into some short attention span doom scroll hellscape.

So now we're going to have:
    > Starting today, all Twitch users with the latest version of the app installed will see the new stories shelf at the top of the Following page.
    along with,
    > Viewers will see a new “Recently Featured Clips” shelf on the mobile Following tab from streamers they follow.
Will we still get to actually see the channels we follow on the "Following" page? How far down are we going to have to scroll? or will it all just become "more short form video optimized for mobile as the entire internet turns into a TikTok clone 30 seconds at a time"

If I wanted to watch TikTok videos, I'd join TikTok. But I don't want TikTok. I don't want Shorts. I don't want Stories. I don't want vertical videos 30 seconds at a time in some attention-deficit-non-stop-stream. I don't need every platform on the internet abandoning what makes them distinct and all offering the same copy-pasted TikTok cloned content from everyone else. With all the creators just reposting the exact same content to every copycat platform 6 or 10 times over just to make sure they aren't missing the opportunity to catch an eyeball on the latest fad each platform is going to push in front of everyone non-stop!

To add my vote against it... Remove 'Featured Clips' from Following, let me disable/hide it, and don't do something like that again in the future. It takes over the entire first visible area of the screen on mobile when going to the 'Following' page.
I just want to see who's live so I can watch their current live stream, not the one or two clips 'featured' that just sit there. (At least as of today Aug 18 though it's no longer appearing on the top of the Following page anymore)
