Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

This is happening to me on multiple streams to which I am subscribed. I hadn't seen ads once due to my subscription but now I get them all.
It's unfortunate because I subscribe both to support the streamer and eliminate ads. I don't feel like I'm getting what I paid for (no ads) and Twitch is relying on me continuing to care for the content creator so they can keep taking my money. Really scummy stuff, @Twitch.

Adding myself to the apparently long list of users who are getting screwed by Twitch... it is some sh*t that we are PAYING MONEY so we can avoid the ads and Twitch does not even care to follow through.
Subscribing to streamers is useless now, thanks @Twitch.
