With the sheer volume of "cheap viewers" scambot variants out there nowadays, bot devs already use regex just to keep these increasingly varying messages from slipping through the cracks as twitch's current message filtering, though fantastic, is often falling short in this regard.
I'm sure it's not the easiest of asks engineering-wise to add regex filtering to every single chat message, but it would empower streamers and moderators in a great way, and with even a small amount of resources provided by twitch people would be significantly empowered to fight abuse.
Atop this feature, if you are worried about the everyday twitch user finding this non-approachable, a very simple regex-generating wizard that would allow users to enter the text they want to filter like usual, and then allow them to toggle settings like "block all letter variants", "ignore case", etc. would be huge. You don't even have to expose the regex itself to users unless they opt into it, so it could be easily made friendly for folks who are unfamiliar with regex.
