It's a giant NO for me. I want as little to do with generative AI as possible. I don't consent to any of my content being fed into any of the gaping voracious maws of the environment-destroying community-poisoning tech that is present-day generative AI. I'd go even further than OP, and say that any and all content containing generative AI, and channels utilizing and contributing to that content, should be clearly marked, so viewers and streamers alike can curate their experiences in ways that align with their values.

Voted in support. Genderqueer myself, and I also hate the idea of Twitch subjecting viewers to advertisements that are antithetical to the creators and/or content they are watching. Affiliates generally agree to Twitch's required ads, but it really should not be so difficult to have advertisements, and advertisers, tagged and/or categorized to better match the channels they run on.

Extremely well-written and well-cited! I will add—with Twitch's recent published feature of Twitch clip clout by users in chat, doesn't this genAI slop option function as something of a backhanded slap to those streamers and users who were enjoying the community clip sharing feature? This entire platform owes its success to the idiosyncrasies and unique personalities and talents of human creators and their communities. Stop forcing genAI garbage into everything.

Twitch is a platform for human creators of all sorts, for human audiences. There are COUNTLESS visual artists streaming, and in stream audiences, who would have gladly collaborated with Twitch for new category images. The use of genAI—a technology that exists only through widespread theft, unethical scraping, and non-consent—is abhorrent, inexcusable, and insulting. This needs to be reversed immediately and Twitch needs to formally take a position aligning with their streamers and other users (humans).

The fact that the layout (or at least some elements of it) is tied to your local browser cookies makes the "Save Layout" option completely useless, too. There should absolutely be a way to save a layout to an account, including which Quick Actions are selected, and in which order. Every time I do routine upkeep on my computer, and/or update my browser, I clear my browser cookies and my Stream Manager saved layout gets obliterated.

I have not spoken with a SINGLE other person who enjoys the stream Title/Info moved to the top of the page. Every single person I've talked to about it has either expressed disgust and dread, or has directed me to third-party solutions to "correct" the UI back to how it should be. The top-of-video display is disorienting and counterintuitive. Digital video controls and information have consistently been located at the bottom of the video player, for years, and that's for good reason - it puts everything in the easiest configuration to be accessed (interacted with, read, etc).

Absolutely agree this needs to happen.
Upon becoming an Affiliate, you should
1) Get to choose from a small pool of generated prefixes
OR
2) Have one free request/review to adjust your emote prefix, should the generated options not suit you/your community.
These options should be both the default when achieving Affiliate, as well as replacing the autogeneration that follows a name change.
The existing system where Affiliate emote prefixes can only be changed after a name change - and even then, it is another gamble on what is auto-generated - is unfair and damaging to new channels, and needs to be scrapped with better actions.
I will add, there's nothing so demoralizing as looking forward to making emotes for your community, but having some keysmash numbers that you can never remember, numbers that have nothing to do with you, your brand, your content, etc, glued to every one, preventing people from using them in some cases. (Text-entry emotes tend to be faster than scrolling through lists of hundreds upon thousands of other channel emotes/public emotes/event emotes/etc)
Partners can pull rank on Affiliates to preserve the current reward hierarchy, surely.
I'm not even impacted as negatively as some of the others here. My handle is "Asinametra" and I go by "Asina" and "Sina" for short. My auto-generated emote prefix is "asinam" though. Which is at least just "the first 6 letters" of my name, and makes sense. But it's not intuitive to use, given my actual shortened names don't extend to the M in my name. Perhaps this is petty, but this has actively deterred me from setting up emotes for my channel at all. -

There was already a public admission that the recent genAI features were added as OPT-OUT because they knew if they had been added as OPT-IN, no one would have opted in. Because no one wants this. Twitch KNOWS their userbases does not want this. And yet Twitch is doubling and tripling down. Either Twitch cancels this self-sabotaging techbro wet dream, or it will hemorrhage users again.
