Oh, please. No one's wondering why Twitch hasn't removed the emote yet. We all saw the Twitch leak that showed the top 100 streamers only having one woman in it. Twitch heavily prefers cishet white patriarchy and only removed pogchamp because the guy was blatantly racist at a time when racist people were actually facing even the smallest of consequences.

The smear campaign is all these dudebros coming in here and defending the guy who became famous for telling women to go die of cancer - all in a desperate attempt to avoid having women on the platform.

I will remind people that TB's rise to fame was via GamerGate, and specifically on the side *against* women speaking up about sexual harassment and whatnot within the gaming industry, with many comments towards both cis and trans women telling them they should go die, with several examples still floating about of him telling them to go die of cancer specifically. It's not defamation to point out easily-proven facts about a person's own actions. That's called accurate reporting.

On top of that, I still have my screenshots of the harassment campaign that was organized against me by TB's cult following back in 2018, near the end of his life, complete with the swastika profile pics and "gender critical" profile information. No one ever gets to get away with telling me that what I saw with my own eyes, what I experienced with my own life, was a lie. So if TB and his cult following truly had changed their ways after GamerGate, then they have elected to continue showing the same behaviors *from* GamerGate at least up through the end of his life.

The only "poor ethics" here is the people that continue to defend this neonazi cult by continuing to insist that telling women to go die of cancer is somehow "criticizing" them and not a blatant disregard for their life and well-being. I cannot and will not tolerate defenses of this inexcusable behavior, and nor should anyone that cares about women or any other marginalized group.

This man does not deserve any semblance of honor or fame. Being anti-hierarchy, I personally believe no one does, but that's another topic for another time. The point is, his presence on Twitch as the face of this emote only serves to remind women that Twitch is fine with harassment and assault of all women, so long as it's not costing Twitch money.

Edit: Just want to point out that this cry of "defamation" is how the harassment campaign against me in 2018 started, as well. Next will come more people claiming he was somehow a good person and pointing to small aspects of what I've said as a means to justify throwing out the entire thing, along with increasingly more blatant and frankly, unhinged attacks on my own character and existence. Alongside that, I know I can expect a lot of sockpuppet accounts mass reporting my posts and stuff to attempt to trigger the reporting algorithms into taking action without any justifiable cause to do so.

As I said, I've been through this before. If the neonazis -- both the white supremacist and "gender critical" types -- wish to repeat 2018, then I will defend myself just as I did back then. The Pink Triangle was a thing, and I will not willingly bow to anyone that is anti-LGBTQ+, whether Nazis or their more modern counterparts.

The point is to hide them entirely on a *user* end, not a streamer/moderator end. The blocked phrases list isn't good enough.

Some emotes are literally trauma triggers for some people. For me, the L U L emote features a literal neonazi who was known for harassing women, of which I was one. Just seeing his face is enough to bring back memories of the time I was told over and over by his followers to go kill myself - all while they put swastikas in their pfps. That's not something I should have to be subjected to every time I open the emote menu, let alone look in chats.

I have a separate uservoice thing going to get said neonazi removed like pogchamp was, but the point is that the ability to completely hide a given emoji from the user side is a real matter of safety for some people and needs to be a thing.

Not just block channel emotes. I've personally had to use Nightbot to automatically delete the chats of anyone that uses the LUL emote because TotalBiscuit, the person featured in it, is known to have harassed women during GamerGate, and I've been on the receiving end of his neonazi cult following -- complete with fascist symbols in their profile pics. The trauma of seeing his face, being reminded that such an abusive attitude is more important to people than my own well-being and the well-being of the countless others he and others like him have destroyed through their harassment is beyond comprehension. If Twitch cared at all, they'd change that emote just like they did for pogchamp, but I'd settle for not having to rely on using an external source doing a better job than Twitch itself.

This really isn't just a matter of convenience or even clutter. There's also an element of safety and well-being involved. Personally, seeing TotalBiscuit's face for the L U L emote every time I open up my emote list is a literal trigger for a panic attack for me because of his sexist cult harassing me off other social media platforms. I already use Nightbot to remove it from my stream's chats, but being able to hide the emote outright, both in my emote selection screen and when people use it in other's stream chats would be immensely helpful in not being forced to dredge up old memories of harm being inflicted upon me every time I use the platform.

I'm sure there's other emotes that have similar effects on the mental health of marginalized people. There's a lot of pepe emotes floating around that are most widely used by neonazi groups, so being able to at least keep these emojis out of our streams would be wonderful since Twitch clearly appears intent on keeping said neonazis on the platform because profits. >.>

I would also like to demand an overhaul of Automod to, for example, not block us trans people for literally just mentioning "trans" or for associating completely irrelevant terms to "sexism" or some ****.

I literally have to disable Automod and use third party tools for this like Nightbot simply because Automod would force me to add so many terms to the allow list, with the allow list not even working half the time.

Beyond that, there's a lot that can be done to make the experience more enjoyable.
    - Give us the ability to disable stream chat for non-moderators after X minutes after our streams end
    - Fix the appeals system so that it doesn't take longer for the appeal to go through than the fake suspensions we get from the hate raids reporting our channels for the hate raids existing in our channels. Appeals should take less than 48 hours no matter what.

    Among many other things.
