Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown. You can find out more information here: https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/1603148201489580032

I completely agree with this idea. Even if it means teams created by affiliates have a maximum limit as per the number of people who can join (I suggest up to 12). I agree having a charter that al members agree to but I think a lot of that should be down to the team owners. I also don't think it's a bad thing there being a lot of teams, the more the merrier IMO. We already have teams created that are just basically formalised follow-for-follow groups so it's not like the current system protects against the lack of team mentality.

Unfortunately the bitrate limit is one of the reasons people leave Twitch for YouTube. YT's limit is significantly higher so the video quality is markedly better. and for some people even though YT's live experience is nowhere near as developed as Twitch's is, the combination of better quality video and the monetisation is enough for them to move over. But I do think if Twitch could increase that bitrate limit to at least 10,000 it would begin to convince a few people to stay
