I just had an Ad for Jim Beam, and the way in which it was shown is literally not even allowed in my country.
The first thing when typing into Google "Are Alcohol Ads allowed in Germany" is a document from the German government which says:
They should not portray Alcohol in any kind of way, which could influence young adults. Don't bring it into a context with driving, and don't use your ads in a way that could lead to the belief that you're more social or sexual active, if you're using Alcohol.So my feedback is, if you're showing for example a Jim Beam Add, with young adults celebrating and having fun in a friendly setting and bring it into a combination and context with alcohol.
(Like the one I got, when I started to watch a stream)Just don't do it. -> Or build in a function where you at least give the option to not watch commercials on things like "alcohol, smoking, drugs, pharmacy..."
Additionally:
1.) The add could be illegal in the country where it plays -> So it could probably cause legal costs
2.) Alcohol commercials in general are very scummy, and brings, in my opinion, into doubt the whole point of "Twitch cares for its community"
3.) Some people don't like alcohol in general and would rather turn off twitch than listen to problematic ads. -> So a loose in screen time, where you could probably earn more with showing other ads.linke_pobacke

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. My internet connection is a bit sketchy at the moment.
Which leads to the problem that the twitch player sees my reconnecting and refreshing of the page as a user who freshly joined the channel. -> And I have to watch an Add... and another... and..
Because of this, I had to rewatch some commercials more than I like and more than I care. (Which often limes led to me muting a stream and doing other stuff which don't use a steady internet connection)
Please at least set a maximum amount of ads which are allowed to be shown and give the option of skipping ads if you had more than x in y minutes/hours
