This experiment is now closed as the new mobile redesign is rolling out to all users. Thank you for all your feedback during the experiment. We released an update to respect your autoplay settings in the feed, muted the feed on open by default (you can adjust this in your settings), and added mute functionality directly to the feed to give you more control over your viewing experience. We also enabled PIP over feed and have been continuing to improve app performance since launch. Learn more about the new app on our blog and continue to share feedback with us on the improved experience in the mobile category on UserVoice.

i have actually seen an uptick in bugs on my ios twitch app since they started pushing those annoying updates notification.
i understand that software is complicated and it's hard to keep all your users happy, but **** like this makes me wonder if there's a few fat cats at twitch that are bored and pulling this **** just to troll us.

hate it. i much prefer the old UI where there's a list of channels you're following, separated/ordered by the channels that are live.
i see on the iOS version you can sort of get to that in the browse page of the app, but it's still not quite the same because you are forced to see and scroll through the video preview.
as a rule of thumb, i don't want to see or hear any content unless i select into it. imagine if netflix started playing a random video as soon as you log into the site/app, and you're forced to watch whatever they selected as you're still scrolling to find the content you actually want to watch. also imagine if all their content was listed as video previews that you have to scroll through one preview at a time, instead of a list or a list of tiles that you can scroll and select from.
i might have a different take if i used twitch like instagram, which is an app that's designed to scroll through a bunch of pre-made short form content... but twitch is primarily designed to deliver longer live content, and i seriously doubt most twitch users want to constantly scroll through dozens of twitch channels for few seconds or even minutes at a time. you seriously telling me that most twitch viewers watch Ninja for a few seconds, then Shroud for the next few seconds, then xQc for a minute, then pokimane for a few seconds, and then Sodapoppin for 2 mins?
