My viewer count sometimes drops to 0 literally as I am chatting with my viewers and as I know friends are watching.
I know that at any given moment I have at least 3-5 viewers, but the counter consistently shows 0-2.
I have tested streaming from various locations with an ethernet cable, so I know connectivity isn't to blame.
I have people participating in chat, so I know I am not temporarily dropping viewership.
I know of the chat bots and of the users that don't count in the Users In Chat list. I also know that users that only have the chat window up don't count (thought they should).
I already ruled out these explanation, they don't apply in this case.
This issue makes it difficult to get to affiliate for my stream summary consistently shows an average viewer count of less than 3.Please, I would like to know if there is anything that I can do on my end to improve the situation. If not, please, kindly fix this issue.

I have been experiencing basically the same issue. My viewer count sometimes drops to 0 literally as I am chatting with the viewers and I know my girlfriend is watching. Instead of showing growth in the stream summary, I am losing viewership and I don't think it's fair.
This is a complaint: under my ad settings I have it set up so it displays ads to my viewers. But instead of playing ads it just displays a bumper that says that I am taking an ad brake. So even though I am here producing content and allowing Twitch to run ads on my content, you guys interrupt my stream but show no real ads. I have not earned any ad revenue from these interruptions, since no actual ads are being played. Why are there no real ads playing on my stream? Also, if you just ran out of budget to run ads on my channel, stop interrupting my stream. Also, this makes being Affiliate not a real way to earn revenue since I can't even rely on Twitch doing what all social media platforms do, which is playing ads.
