Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. So in August of last year, Twitch Admin says they are working on something else. Yet, I'm still dealing with full screen ads. I will NOT purchase from any of these advertisers and it makes me not want to sub to channels. What's the benefit to me to sub? Nothing.

It's pretty obvious that no one is listening to us anymore. I was gifted a sub on a channel and immediately I was greeted with 4 ads!!! I wasn't the only one. When I FINALLY got back to the stream, others were complaining about the number of ads. I semi-regularly watch ONE, count it ONE channel and only because he's a real life friend of mine. If it weren't for supporting him, I'd already be gone!

I've pretty much stopped watching anything on Twitch. I get ads on channels I'm subbed to, and they aren't being rolled from the streamer. I've asked them. One is a friend of mine and he runs no ads of his own. I've had channels not even begin playing because of ads. Just terrible.
