   We're planning to add support for pinned messages in the API and EventSub.

   I'd like to update my chat bot to automatically pin a message at the start of each stream for a Question of the Day and similar stuff.

   It's been nearly a year - any word of pinned messages being added to the API in the near future?

   The official app has been terrible with the latest updates, so until they resolve that issue, it might be better to just skip that in favor of something else.

   On my TV I ended up switching to the "SmartTV Client for Twitch" app which generally performs better than the official app ever has, plus it has a bunch of features that Twitch either dropped (chat without a cell phone) or never had in the first place (picture in picture, etc.).

    I ended up just switching to the "SmartTV Client for Twitch" app. The official AndroidTV app is effectively unusable in its current state.

    The "SmartTV Client for Twitch" third-party app happens to support picture-in-picture and other features at least for AndroidTV. Maybe there's something similar for Apple TV? The official app is more or less unusable in its current state.

15. The current version of twitch tv apps is horrible. It lags and cannot 1080p even on vids when it used to do it easily. Also no chat in vods.

    Please just reference the "SmartTV Client for Twitch" app for a checklist of features for the TV app. Removing chat was an atrocious idea, and the latest version of the official app has incredibly poor performance.
