Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

This is a great suggestion! Still having ads supports the streamers however I find it so hard to grow my channel because people click off as soon as they see an ad. It would have been great to see a banner instead of an ad blocking the whole video because on twitch you can't even skip back to see what you missed.
