    Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!   These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed.     I was going to suggest a similar feature to this just now, then found this. Noticing this was posted back in 2015 and it's still not implemented yet, think it's a good time for Twitch to look into it imo. This would be helpful to hide panels which may not be relevant for a while but will be again soon (Ex. For Charity Streams to show info on where to donate, where the info won't be relevant all the time but you don't want to have to remove the panel completely).
