I understand the desire to keep drops a thing, and that many many many people appreciate it. I think it's only fair it defaults to allowing drops on Twitch...
But there's also a segment of people uninterested in it. Just like there's a segment of channels uninterested in allowing drops in their channel.
Why can't we be given the option?MercuryBullet

Terrible terrible design choice.
If it is just about SEO as some have suggested.. Copy the title, put it in an invisible box that doesn't change UI, and don't impact all your users with a UI decision that makes the platform uglier and worse.
The distracting crawl, the weird choice of splitting follow and sub, every single aspect of this is silly.I'll add one of my own.. at the browser, many of us use a bookmark bar. That whole area of the browser already has Tabs, adressbar, and then bookmarks... and now the title of streams, crawling. Instead of in the less cluttered below the video like it has always, for good reason, been.
Why?
If you, at the very least, told us what motivated the change.. cause.. I can't motivate it at all.MercuryBullet

I am reluctant to give out my mobile number again. I've spent the last couple of years hounded by spambots because it leaked off a supposedly safe site, both in email form and phone calls.
I will not give out my number online again, period.
Let us verify our accounts another way. -

Are you actually Insane?
Twitch, do you want to retain any users?
