I'd like staying being a non-sub & I really don't want to be automatically receiving gifted subs even if it's by streamers I watch frequently.
I know there's an option to disable subscription benefits but it's not enough. I'm sure there are people that would much rather not have their name used to support a streamer they dislike or don't even know on twitch. Troll sub gifting is a thing and I personally don't approve.
My only option would be me getting banned and I clearly don't want to do that but If it keeps up I may seriously have to be in hiding for awhile. I can't take the risk in announcing in a streamer's chat saying I don't want to be gifted and shortly received a gift sub just to troll.
I would really appreciate if this option becomes a thing in the future, that way I don't have to worry about someone sneaking in a gift sub when I don't want it.

Today's another case of this very issue. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door literally has the same exact title and now have a split viewerbase on launch day. At the time of writing the older one has 16K viewers while the remake with a different cover and fewer tags has 9K.
To me this is such a huge bummer as it hinders a remake/remasters discoverability. At the same time I don't want the older category to be erased with all the videos and clips over the years being removed.
I just wish for a clean merger without older content wiped. It always bothered me when a remake/remaster has a slightly different subtitle, but Paper Mario is a recent example where I expected everyone just used the old category because of their subtitle being the exact same.
A quick solution I can think of is the removal of the 2024 link and just change the cover of the older category like how live service games changes covers every season.
