    If you bring up a /user card based on the current username, you'll see their full chat history under the current username. I agree there should be a log of username changes and a way to look up chat history based on previous name. However, usernames are released to the public six months after changing a name, so it's possible that someone else could register that name. However, a /user card should list all the user's previous user names for moderators to be aware of who they were. It'd be nice if chat history was kept associated with the then-username the chat was generated under.
