Confirming this is still occurring as of January 26, 2026. For me its Firefox on desktop (logged in while I'm at home) and the same (not-logged in while I'm at work).

I've seen this happen to numerous streamers when watching clips their chat has sent them.

My issue is with the location of the title, tags and username of the stream. Having them below the video means that I can read them when I need to, or ignore them when I am focussing on the content. Having a bar above the video which houses this static information takes up screen real estate and actively distracts me from the content.

If this rollout is intended to find out if its better at the top or at the bottom, please believe me: It is better at the bottom. At the top is an idea which does not, and will not work. Sweep this idea under the rug and never speak of it again.

(Alternately, and I mean this very generously, give us an option on where to place it. However, make the default below the stream and give users the option to move it above if they want to, which they won't, because its not a good idea.)
